• operating smelting furnaces according to instructions
• heating and loading of furnaces
• preparation and dosing of feed materials
• calculating and adding additional materials to the smelting process
• control of analyses and measurement values
• taking temperature measurements
• monitoring and control of the smelting process
• tapping and pouring of liquid iron
• dosing and adding modifying materials
• transport of casting ladles using an overhead crane
• entering process data into the computer
• independent removal of minor faults
• maintenance and upkeep of furnaces and equipment
• repair of refractory furnace linings
• coordinating the melting and casting process in cooperation with the team

• No knowledge of German required for Polish and English-speaking candidates – for other candidates, knowledge of German at least at a communicative level
• at least one year of experience working in a foundry – a necessary condition
• forklift license – a necessary condition
• qualifications to operate an overhead crane – a necessary condition
• experience in operating smelting furnaces and foundry processes
• ability to measure and control process parameters
